Who you are dealing with
Gently: A Soft Daily Planner (the app, Gently) is operated by Lion Glow Pte. Ltd., a company registered in Singapore (UEN 202525928H), Block 10, Level 14, 10 Sims Drive, Singapore 387390. In these terms "we" and "us" mean Lion Glow Pte. Ltd. and "you" means the person using the app. Questions about these terms go to [email protected].
Agreeing to these terms
By installing or using the app you agree to these terms and to the Privacy Policy, which explains what we collect, why, and for how long. If you do not agree, do not use the app. Where you download the app from the App Store, Apple’s own terms also apply to the download and to any purchase; where the two differ about a purchase, Apple’s terms govern the purchase.
Some words used here
"App" means the Gently application for iOS and any update to it. "Service" means the app together with the servers, assistant, sync, and support we run behind it. "Content" means anything you put into the app: tasks, notes, reviews, Spark cards, messages to the assistant, and voice recordings. "Pro" means the paid subscription. "Apple" means Apple Inc. and its subsidiaries. "Provider" means a company named in the Privacy Policy that processes data on our behalf.
What the service is
Gently helps you plan a day, keep routines, focus, and look back at how it went. An assistant can turn a typed or spoken request into changes to your plan, and Spark offers small ideas for the day. The app is a planning tool. It is not a medical, mental-health, legal, or financial service, and nothing in it is advice of that kind.
Your licence to use the app
We grant you a personal, revocable, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to install and use the app on Apple-branded devices that you own or control, as permitted by the App Store usage rules, for your own personal planning. The app is licensed, not sold. Everything not expressly granted here stays with us and our licensors. Updates may add, change, or remove features, and these terms apply to every update unless the update comes with its own.
Eligibility
You must be at least 13 to use Gently and old enough to agree to terms where you live, or have a parent or guardian agree for you. You must not be barred from using the app under the law of the country you are in, and you must not be on a sanctions list that would make providing the service to you unlawful.
Accounts and sign-in
You can use the app without an account; your planner then lives on this device and on our service under a device credential. Signing in with Apple or Google lets the same planner be reached from another device. You are responsible for the device and the accounts you use to sign in, for keeping them secure, and for everything done through them; tell us at [email protected] if you believe one has been used without your permission. If you sign in on a device that already holds a guest planner, the account’s planner takes over on that device. Signing out keeps the planner on the device; deleting the account removes it from our service.
Subscriptions
Pro is an auto-renewing subscription bought through the App Store, monthly or yearly. The price is shown in the App Store before you buy and is charged to your Apple ID when the purchase is confirmed. A subscription renews automatically for the same period at the same price unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the current period ends. You can manage or cancel it at any time in your App Store subscription settings. Cancelling stops the next charge and keeps Pro until the paid period runs out; no partial refund is made for the unused part of a period. What Pro includes is listed on the Get Pro screen and may be extended over time; a feature moved out of Pro stays available to you for the period you have already paid for.
Free trials and offers
Where a plan offers a free trial, the length is shown before you start it and nothing is charged during it. When the trial ends the subscription starts and the first payment is taken, unless you cancelled at least 24 hours earlier. Any unused part of a trial is forfeited when you buy a subscription. Trials and introductory prices are available once per Apple ID, as the App Store enforces.
Price changes
If we raise the price of a subscription, the App Store tells you before the change takes effect and, where the law or Apple requires it, asks you to agree. If you do not agree, the subscription ends at the close of the current period.
Refunds and restoring
Payments are handled by Apple, so refunds are requested from Apple under the App Store terms, not from us; we cannot issue one ourselves. A subscription bought with your Apple ID can be brought back on a new phone or after a reinstall with Restore purchases on the Get Pro screen. A subscription that is already attached to a signed-in account cannot be moved to another account by restoring.
The assistant and Spark
Assistant answers, transcriptions, and Spark ideas are generated by an AI model and can be wrong, incomplete, out of date, or a poor fit for your situation. Read them as suggestions, not as facts or advice. Every change the assistant makes to your plan comes with a receipt you can undo. Do not rely on the assistant for medical, legal, financial, or safety decisions. Free plans have a daily limit on assistant requests; Pro removes it, subject to fair use.
Reminders and alarms
Task reminders, Focus alarms and other notifications are delivered by iOS and depend on your notification and Focus settings, the device being on, and the time zone the planner uses. They can arrive late or not at all. Do not use them for anything where a missed alert would cause harm, such as medication or safety timings.
Your content
What you write in the app stays yours. You give us only the permission needed to store it, sync it between your devices, and pass it to the providers named in the Privacy Policy so the features work, for example to OpenAI to answer an assistant request. We do not use your content to train models and we do not sell it. You are responsible for what you put in the app and for having the right to do so.
What you agree not to do
Do not use the app to store, generate, or send unlawful content; to harass or harm anyone; to probe, overload, or interfere with the service or other people’s use of it; to reverse engineer the app beyond what the law allows; to resell access; or to automate requests to the assistant outside the app.
Feedback
If you send us a suggestion, bug report, or other feedback about the app, through Contact Us or in any other way, you agree that we may use it without restriction or payment to you, and you confirm it does not contain anything you are not free to give us.
Your responsibility for your use
You agree to compensate us, our officers, and our providers for any loss, cost, or claim that arises from content you put in the app, from your breach of these terms, or from your use of the app in a way that breaks the law. This does not apply to loss caused by our own fault.
Our content
The app, its name, design, illustrations, sounds, and text belong to us or to the people who licensed them to us. Focus sounds are credited on the Help page under Credits. You may use the app for your own personal planning and not otherwise copy, adapt, or distribute it.
Third-party services
The app relies on Apple (App Store, sign-in, notifications, StoreKit), Google (sign-in), OpenAI (the assistant and voice transcription), and Amazon Web Services (hosting). Each is covered by its own terms and we are not responsible for their availability or conduct. The Privacy Policy says what each receives.
Age
You must be at least 13 to use Gently. If you are under the age at which you can agree to terms where you live, a parent or guardian must agree for you and is responsible for your use.
Ending things
You can stop using the app at any time. Delete Account in Settings removes your data from our service; Delete Local Data removes what is on the device. We may suspend or end access for use that breaks these terms, after notice where that is practical. We may change or retire the service with reasonable notice; a paid period cut short by us is refunded through Apple for the unused part.
Availability and changes to the app
We work to keep the service available and your data intact, and we keep a backup of the service database. Even so the app may be interrupted for maintenance, by a provider, or by a fault, and features may change between versions. Keep your own record of anything you cannot afford to lose; Export My Data in Settings gives you a copy.
What we do not promise
The app is provided as it is and as available, without warranty of any kind beyond what the law does not let us exclude. To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, for loss that comes from relying on the assistant or on a reminder, or for loss caused by an outage or by a third-party service. Where liability cannot be excluded, our total liability for all claims in any twelve months is limited to the amount you paid us for the app in that period. Nothing here limits rights you have as a consumer under the law where you live.
Events beyond our control
We are not responsible for a failure or delay caused by something outside our reasonable control, including a fault at Apple, Google, OpenAI, or Amazon Web Services, an internet or power outage, a change in law, a strike, an epidemic, or a natural disaster.
Terms Apple requires
These terms are between you and Lion Glow Pte. Ltd. only, not Apple. Apple is not responsible for the app or its content and has no obligation to provide maintenance or support for it; we do. If the app fails to conform to any warranty that applies, you may notify Apple and Apple will refund the purchase price of the app to you; beyond that, to the maximum extent the law allows, Apple has no other warranty obligation for the app. We, not Apple, are responsible for addressing any claim by you or a third party relating to the app, including product liability claims, claims that the app fails to conform to a legal or regulatory requirement, and claims under consumer protection or similar law. If a third party claims that the app infringes its intellectual property rights, we, not Apple, are responsible for the investigation, defence, settlement, and discharge of that claim. You represent that you are not located in a country subject to a U.S. Government embargo or designated as a terrorist-supporting country, and that you are not on any U.S. Government list of prohibited or restricted parties. You must comply with any third-party terms that apply when you use the app, such as your wireless data service agreement. Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these terms and may enforce them against you.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the law of Singapore, and disputes are brought in the courts of Singapore, except where the consumer law of the country you live in gives you the right to use its law and courts instead.
Notices
We give you notice inside the app, or by the email attached to your sign-in account if we have one. You give us notice at [email protected] or by post to the address above. A notice sent inside the app counts as received when the app next shows it.
The rest of the fine print
These terms, the Privacy Policy, and the App Store terms are the whole agreement between you and us about the app and replace any earlier one. If a court finds part of these terms unenforceable, the rest still applies. If we do not act on a breach at once, we have not given up the right to act on it later. You may not transfer your rights under these terms to anyone else; we may transfer ours to a company that takes over the service, and will tell you if we do. Headings are for reading only. The English text of these terms governs any translation.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms when the service changes. The date below changes with them. A change that affects a subscription or narrows your rights is shown in the app before it applies, and continuing to use the app after that means you accept it. The version in the app and the one at lion-glow.com/terms are the same document.
Effective
September 2026. The published version of these terms is at lion-glow.com/terms.
