Touché Duo: 2 Player Trivia (“Touché”) is made by Lion Glow Pte. Ltd., a company registered in Singapore (“we”, “us”). This policy explains what the app collects, why, how long we keep it, and what you can do about it.
We do not have accounts. The app generates a random identifier and keeps it in your device’s Keychain, so it stays after you delete and reinstall the app. It is not linked to your name or your Apple Account, but it does not change, so everything below that the app sends us is tied to it. We use it to count each like once per device, to group usage statistics and error reports by device, and to match purchase records to the device that sent them. We never collect your nickname, your punishments, or anything you type. You can clear local data in Settings; the random identifier is kept so likes are not counted twice.
Notifications. If you allow notifications, your device gives the app a push token, an address Apple uses to deliver notifications to this app on this device. We store it on our server next to the app’s random identifier, and use it only to send you notifications. We do not use it to identify you or share it with anyone except Apple, which delivers the notifications. Turn notifications off at any time in the app’s Settings, which deletes the token from our server straight away, or in your device’s Settings, in which case we delete it the next time a notification cannot be delivered. We also delete a token that has not been refreshed for 180 days.
Usage statistics. Unless you switch off Share usage statistics in Settings › Privacy, the app records what happens in it and sends it to our server with the random identifier, the app version, the version of the content, and whether your phone folds. This covers: when the app opens and goes to the background, and which screens you open; how you set up each game (the mode, turn order, number of questions, time limits, number of topics, and whether you set a punishment and whether it is a preset or your own, but never its text); each question you are shown, by its identifier and topic, and how you answered (right, wrong, timed out or skipped), how long it took and how many points it changed; each game’s length, scores and winner, and whether it was left unfinished; how the phone was folded or held during a game; the Wiki cards you view, and for how long, like, save, un-like or un-save, and the topics you practise from them; when you change a sound, music, haptics or notifications setting, whether you allow notifications and which of our notifications you open, when you update your profile or your interests (only that you did, and how many interests you picked, never your nickname or which interests), and when you clear local data; when you reach the free daily limit, tap a locked topic or open the paywall, and which button you tap and whether it worked when you buy, restore or manage Touché Pro; and technical problems with loading content or pictures. Each event carries the time on your device and a session identifier that changes after 30 minutes without use. Turning Share usage statistics off stops all of this at once and deletes whatever had not been sent yet. Likes and purchase records are features, not statistics, so they keep working.
If the app runs into an error, it sends a short technical report so we can fix it: the kind of error, a short error message, where in the app’s code it happened, which screen you were on, your iOS version, the app version and the random identifier. Anything in quotation marks is removed from the error message and the message is cut to 200 characters, so what you typed is not included. Error reports are not sent when Share usage statistics is off.
When you like a Wiki card, the app sends us the card and the random identifier, and we keep them so that a device’s like counts once and the number shown on each card is right. Taking a like back in the app is not sent to us, and clearing local data does not remove it from our server. We do not delete likes on a schedule, because the count of each card depends on them.
If you buy Touché Pro, the app sends us Apple’s signed record of the purchase, with the random identifier, and Apple sends us notices about it (renewals, expiry, refunds). We keep what the record says: what was bought, when, its status (for example active, expired or refunded), whether it renews, the App Store country, the currency and price, and whether it is a test purchase. We never receive your Apple Account, your name or your payment method.
Your nickname, avatar, interests, answer history, saved cards and settings are stored on your device and are not uploaded as such; the usage statistics above only report what you did (for example, that you saved a card), and only while Share usage statistics is on. Deleting the app removes them from your device.
We use this information only to run the app, count likes, fix problems and decide what to improve. We do not show ads, we do not track you across other companies’ apps or websites, and we do not sell your information or share it for marketing.
Our server runs on Amazon Web Services in the United States, which stores this information for us, and the app reaches it through Cloudflare, which relays the connection. Like any online service, both see your device’s IP address when the app connects. We do not keep IP addresses ourselves: our server’s logs hold only the kind of request, its result and its timing, and the first 8 characters of the random identifier, and IP addresses are not stored with your usage statistics. Cloudflare handles the connection under its own privacy policy. Because the server is in the United States, what the app sends is transferred there. Purchases go through Apple, whose own privacy policy covers what Apple collects.
How long we keep it. Usage statistics: up to 180 days, then deleted. The record that a device has contacted us (its random identifier, when we first and last heard from it, the app version and whether it folds): deleted after 180 days without contact. Error reports: up to 90 days. Push tokens: until notifications are turned off or the app is unused for 180 days. Likes: until you ask us to delete them. Purchase records, with the random identifier of the device that sent them: for as long as we need them to provide Pro and to meet our legal and tax obligations. Short-lived backups of our database may hold deleted data for a little longer.
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to ask what we hold about you, or to have it corrected or deleted, to object to how we use it, or to complain to your local data protection authority. Because nothing we hold is tied to your name or an account, we may not be able to tell which records are yours, but contact us and we will do what we can. Turning off Share usage statistics in Settings is the quickest way to stop new statistics and error reports.
Touché is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them.
